After-Prom Party: HELP!

Decoration preparations begin January 12 for this wonderful event, and continues every Tuesday through April 19, 2016- yes, its that HUGE! We cannot possibly do it all without a small army to help. If you have an hour or two to spare, please join us Tuesdays from 6-9 in the cafeteria at RV, and bring along a friend or two! We invite parents from ALL CLASSES to participate, not just those with Juniors and Seniors. We’d love to have local parent groups, sports teams or any other folks from organized groups/activities and anyone in the neighborhood that would like to help. We also have many projects that can be done from home.
This is a perfect way to get involved and meet other people and parents in this wonderful community in which we live. See you there!
For more information, please contact Brenda Sterns here, or Renee Richker  here.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Guest Speaker- Suicide Prevention

September is National Suicide Prevention Month.

“Suicide prevention is a very important issue that provides support for all of our students in the Ralston Valley community. Informing students and parents about this topic is a great way to provide tools and resources for anyone dealing with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts or self-harming behavior.”

In honor of the countless lives lost and those on the edge, please join us on October 6, at 7:00pm in the library at RVHS to listen to our featured guest speaker from Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners, discuss suicide prevention and how all of us can help someone in need.

2015 – 2016 Reflections Program is underway!

Reflections 2015-16  “Let Your Imagination Fly”
The Reflections program is a national art program sponsored by PTSA where students K-12 can express art through a given theme.  There are 6 areas a student can enter; visual art, photography, dance, music, literature and film.
Please visit www.jeffcopta.org for additional information.  Programs&Resources – Reflections. The deadline is on or before October 16. Participants should leave their entries in the office. Entries must be submitted correctly in order to be judged. This includes a title and artist statement.
Entries will be judged and three entries from each category will then move onto Jefferson County and possibly move to the state and national level. All students will receive certificates and be recognized for their contribution.
Thank you for your time and interest in art.  I am looking forward to seeing what Ralston Valley artists have in store for us this year.
