The Reflections program is a national art program that your PTSA is honored to sponsor at RVHS. Reflections gives students from Kindergarten through 12th grade the opportunity to express their artistic talents through a given theme.
This years theme is: What is your Story? -Who are you, and how do you see the world around you?
There are 6 artistic areas that a student can enter:
Our very own Deb Mitchell, RV PTSA Reflections Chair, will be working with students again this year to teach them how a Reflections program runs from beginning to end and the many components in-between. Deb has several years of experience with Reflections and she is excited to help your student represent Ralston Valley in this National program. Contact Deb for great advice, assistance and support, here.
Ralston Valley would love to show the world that we encourage and support the arts by having 50 students submit an entry. Please help us reach that goal!
Please encourage your student to express their love of the arts by creating, submitting and showcasing their work in this incredible program.
For more information and a look at past entries and winners, please visit the National PTA site here.
Please join us for our October meeting where we will take care of business first and discuss a very important issue we will be seeing on the ballot the November election, “3A & 3B Proposed Bond and Mill Levy Override.” At this meeting we will have an open discussion followed by a vote by all members present as to whether RV PTSA should join Jeffco PTA in support of this initiative.
See you there.

The Reflections program is a national art program sponsored by PTSA where students can express art through a given theme. There are 6 areas a student can enter; visual art, photography, dance, music, literature and film. Ralston Valley PTSA supports this event. We are seeking a co-chair for the program. No experience necessary. Just love for the arts, recognizing students with awards, and a little organization. Current chair can be contacted for addition questions
After Prom is it is a well-researched way to keep kids out of danger after the Prom dance is concluded. This year Prom is April 29, 2017. PTSA, with the help of generous sponsors, hosts this event.
Research has shown that AfterProm parties sponsored by the school, is one of the best ways to keep students safe on prom night:
AfterProm is in need of volunteers and chair positions with expertise in food service, decorations, communications and project management this year. If you have any desire to help please don’t hesitate to get involved and contact the current chair. We encourage parents of freshman and sophomores to get involved early as these years go by all too quickly!
It’s important to remain a part of your student’s life, and PTSA is a great way to do so.
Please join us.
Ralston Valley’s PTSA has wrapped up another successful year! Many thanks must go out to everyone who supported PTSA in countless ways such as: by becoming a member, by volunteering on a committee, by donating food, beverages, gift cards and/or money and of course, time. We are 100% volunteer organization and we could not begin to do it without the wonderful people and businesses that help each year. In fact, this year alone we handed out four scholarships to deserving seniors who are PSTA members; organized a successful After Prom Event, enjoyed wonderful success with reflections, and organized many second-to-none teacher appreciation events.
Beginning in September, please join us on the first Tuesday of each month @ 6:30 to share your ideas and talents towards continuing this award-winning PTSA’s successes! Its easy to join; just click on the big green button to the right. See you soon!
May 2 through May 6 marks our annual Staff Appreciation week. Recognizing our incredible staff for the amazing job they do is no easy feat, and we love to treat them like the VIP’s they are all week long! We are still short several gift cards for goodie bags…can you help? Any amount will do! Just leave them in an envelope marked ‘Shelly- Staff Appreciation’, and drop it off at the main office at the school. Thank you very much!
Thank you to all of our volunteers for your amazing efforts towards both the success of our school and for helping to create the best memories for our kids. Your generosity in sharing your precious time for the cause has not gone un-noticed; you are appreciated more than we could ever put to words. Thank you!
This event is the biggest single event of the year. We cannot do it without the 150 volunteers that it takes to cover the many shifts from decorating to running security detail the night of the event. Please, give 2 hours or more of your time, and join an elite group of folks who have the privilege of hanging out with the best bunch of kids you could ever meet. This event is for them, please help us make it an incredible night!
Panera is once again partnering with RVHS in their show of support of our After-Prom party!
